Key Laboratory of Environment Change and Resources Use in Beibu Gulf (Guangxi Teachers Education University), Ministry of Education, China, Beibu Gulf Five key disciplines in Guangxi, such as physical geography, resources and environmental information systems, software engineering, regional economics, and land resource management, are integrated resource and environmental information system laboratories, scientific computing and intelligent information processing laboratories, and applied chemical technology. Construction with three key laboratories of Guangxi universities and resource development laboratories. The laboratory was approved by the Ministry of Education for construction as a key laboratory of the Ministry of Education in 2009. It passed the construction plan mission statement in November 2010, and was officially approved as a Beibu Gulf environmental evolution and resource on December 17, 2014. Using the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, Academician Fu Bojie and Professor Hu Baoqing served as the director of the academic committee and the laboratory director respectively.
The laboratory focuses on the key regions of the earth and future earth research plans and its cutting-edge scientific issues. In the context of the three major positioning of Guangxi, the laboratory uses the Beibu Gulf Coastal Zone as the core target area, and faces the fragile extension of the Guangxi Karst District, Xijiang River Basin, and the ASEAN border. The complex mountain-river-sea environment system is taken as the research object, and 3S technology, data mining and model simulation are adopted to set up fragile environment evolution and ecological security, geo-pattern and regional transformation and development, remote sensing monitoring and spatial data mining, resource geography and 4 major research directions, such as land and resources use, study scientific issues such as regional environmental evolution, resource utilization, environmental protection, and transformation and development. In the coastal zone resources and environment, karst ecological environment, border environment and geo-development, remote sensing monitoring and spatial big data And other aspects to form their own research characteristics.
The laboratory has a clear structure, clear organization, and complete functions. It has 5 research laboratories, 6 research centers, and 4 technical support platforms. Among them, five research laboratories set up with research directions as the carrier, namely the Research Office of Fragile Environment Evolution and Ecological Security, the Research Office of Geographical Patterns and Regional Transformation Development, the Research Office of Remote Sensing Monitoring and Spatial Data Mining, the Research Office of Resource Geography and Land Resources Utilization And marine resources utilization and environmental protection research room; six research centers set up by the research team as carriers, including the Beibu Gulf Sea and Land Key Belt and Ecological Engineering Research Center, Xijiang River Basin Social Ecological Evolution and Ecological Civilization Research Center, Karst Ecological Environment and Stone Desertification Control Research Center, Sino-British Joint Beibu Gulf Geo-pattern and Urbanization Research Center, Sino-U.S. Joint Beibu Gulf Hydrometeorological Remote Sensing Research Center and Western Urban-Rural Transformation Development and Land Use Research Center; four technology platforms include test analysis center, space Information comprehensive processing center, ecological environment field observation station in key areas, and achievement transformation and science and technology poverty alleviation center. The laboratory has a total area of more than 3,000 square meters and more than 25 million yuan of equipment. It has the ability to undertake various scientific and technological innovations and tasks.
Based on the team-building model of “introducing talents, external experts, and self-cultivation”, the laboratory has now gathered a research team with a high level of education, a strong ability to innovate and collaborate, a reasonable title and age structure, and a high academic status. At present, there are 70 laboratory personnel, including 65 researchers, 3 technicians, and 2 management personnel. Among the researchers, there are 4 candidates at the second level of the “Guangxi One Hundred Thousand Talent Project”, 5 doctoral supervisors, 1 Guangxi outstanding expert, 1 “Bagui Master”, 3 “Bagui Scholar”, and 2 4 professors, 2 Guangxi Overseas Hundred Talents Program, 1 New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, and 1 member of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. In addition, more than 10 well-known experts at home and abroad, including Academician Wang Ying, Academician Zhang Zuxun, Academician Fu Bojie, Professor Cai Yunlong, Researcher Jiang Zhongcheng, Researcher Fan Hangqing, Professor Cheng Jianquan, Professor Chen Jin, Professor Ding Aizhong and Researcher Qin Zhihao, etc. Distinguished or Visiting Professor.
The laboratory has a solid scientific research foundation, outstanding innovation ability, and fruitful results. In recent years, it has undertaken more than 300 scientific research projects of various types, including major scientific research projects at and above the provincial and ministerial levels (including 973 project sub-projects, 863 project projects, national key research and development plan projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangxi Natural Fund Innovation Team, and Northern China Bay major projects and Guangxi key R & D projects, etc.), nearly 100 projects, more than 200 local commissioned projects, cumulative research funding of nearly 100 million yuan. The support of various projects allows the laboratory to develop and apply scientific data sharing and decision support systems in Beibu Gulf, scientific data integration and intelligent information processing, and application in resources and environment, Guangxi karst ecological environment and rock desertification control, Guangxi soil He has made a series of landmark achievements in research on erosion and soil and water conservation, research on land use and ecology in Guangxi, research on the key areas of sea-land interaction in Beibu Gulf, and research on integrated development of land and sea. He has published more than 300 academic papers and more than 10 academic monographs; He has applied for more than 30 national patents, registered more than 20 software works, and won more than 30 Guangxi Autonomous Region-level scientific research awards, including nearly 10 Guangxi science and technology progress awards and more than 20 Guangxi social science outstanding achievements.
The laboratory "science and education integration" and "industry-research-research" projects have achieved remarkable results, and have made positive progress in discipline construction and personnel training. Now they have autonomous regions such as physical geography, software engineering, regional economics, and applied mathematics (advantages) Key disciplines, with two first-level master's degree programs in geography and software engineering, and two second-level master's programs in regional environment science, land resource management, regional economics, and tourism management The key laboratory sets up an innovation base for cultivating college students, and runs innovation classes such as science and engineering in Beibu Gulf coastal zone, karst ecological environment and rocky desertification control, and ecological environment and integrated management in the Xijiang River Basin. In terms of “industry-industry-research” construction, the laboratory is now the first batch of academician workstations in Guangxi, the collaborative innovation center for ecological environment and integrated development in the Xijiang River Basin, Guangxi ’s small heavy land for research and control of soil heavy metal pollution, and the science and sustainable development of Beibu Gulf Coast Support or support units of scientific research platforms such as collaborative innovation centers.
Adhering to the operating mechanism of “openness, mobility, union, and competition”, the laboratory will closely combine the unique natural conditions of Guangxi's rich surface types and key ecological functions, and the geopolitical advantages of “near the edge, the coast, and the river”. The combination of independent research and development, and strives to become the first-class in the region, with great influence both at home and abroad, on the characteristics of the environmental resources of the Beibu Gulf and the strategy of maritime rights and interests, intelligent services on big data and decision support for Beibu Gulf resources, and the Pearl River-Xijiang River It is an important base for the study of ecological environment and river basin integrated management, ecological management of karst rocky desertification and regional sustainable development, as well as the cultivation of high-level talents, and achieves the construction goal of “based on Guangxi, serves the whole country and faces the world”.
